Every Savvy Wed day is made up of the essential elements that make up an amazing day. We ensure that your day is not crazy expensive, your quote is only made up of what we believe to be essential and anything else is up to you as to whether you want to add on or upgrade.

    The Orchard Estate is set on a macadamia nut orchard situated in the picturesque Byron Bay hinterland. Set across 100 acres, this premium wedding venue overlooks the spectacular Nightcap mountain range and stands alone, offering complete privacy and serenity. It features a purpose built barn, commercial kitchen and toilets to accommodate your entire day.

    As an architecturally impressive structure, The Orchard Estate is as stunning as it is user-friendly. The interiors of the modern barn provide the ultimate blank canvas to style your wedding, presenting polished concrete floors, white walls and dark framing.

    The sublime beauty of this landscape offers the best backdrop for your ceremony and photographs. A gentle walk throughout the macadamia orchard or witnessing a golden sunset from the rolling hills, capturing the perfect moment is easily done. Having your photos taken on-site also allows for more time to enjoy the company of your loved ones!

    One night accommodation is included in your Savvy Wed Package for the night of your wedding.

    The stunning Farm House at The Orchard Estate is located 100m from the main barn and includes: 2 x queen size bedrooms, I x double size bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a 10 x 4m pool. The Farm House sleeps 6.

    *Additional nights can be added before + after your wedding day upon request and dependant on availability.

    Fig Tree Catering

    The Fig Tree Restaurant has long been famed as one of the most iconic restaurants & wedding venues in the region. Opening in 1981, as a restored original farmhouse with a vegetable garden, orchard & a farces of cattle.

    The menus change to reflect the whims of nature – what is landing off the boats; what is picked from our garden and what is reared in the paddocks, which surround Byron Bay.The Fig Tree has crafted a selection of individual dishes that will leave your guests raving about your wedding food.

    Your drinks at The Orchard Estate

    All of our weddings are BYO. How good is that?!

    All alcohol and drinks can be delivered direct to Orchard Estate for us to put on ice. Our wait staff are professionally trained and certified. 

    We will look after complete bar set up and cocktail making. For your ease, we will include our recommendations for quantities (based on your guest numbers) in your personalised quote.

    We always suggest starting the celebration with a cocktail and bringing out the Espresso Martinis at the end!

    If you would like to support a local beer, try all the flavours of STONE & WOOD. They are Byron Bay born and brewed. For Gin, try Brookies Gin or Ink Gin - both locally made.

    We have also put together some fantastic "Savvy Wed Drinks Packages" with our fave supplier, The Sun Bistro. Please let your Savvy Wed coordinator know if you would like more info!

    Savvy Wed work hand in hand with The Wedding Shed for all things hire & styling

    We have curated a standard package with our stylists which covers off all of the basics for your dream day (at a special discount price exclusively for our Savvy Wed couples)!

    Your Savvy Wed styling package includes*:

  • Everything you need for your ceremony

    Steve’s Transport

    Steve’s Mini Bus & Luxury Hire specialise in tailored transport services to suit any occasion. Our private and luxury transport services can cater for any wedding in the Northern Rivers Area.

    Our professional drivers are passionate about ensuring that the journey to and from your event is a smooth and enjoyable experience. For your wedding, arrive feeling refreshed and relaxed with our seamless transport solutions.

    Byron Bay Double Deckers

    Smiles will be hard suppressed on disembarking, creating a union of love and friendship for your special ceremony ahead. Their fleet consists of 3 beautiful double decker buses. The amazing colourful Magic Bus can seat 72 passengers and our vintage Red Buses can seat 69 passengers each. However we do allow for additional passengers depending on the venue and how big the numbers are. Your Savvy Wed Transport Package Includes:

  • 2 Pickups from town to venue and return to town at the end of the night
  • Choice of either the iconic Magic Bus or one of their classic Big Red Buses


    Please refer to the venue’s most recent terms and conditions available on their website. All musicians & DJs have been pre-approved by Savvy Wed for this venue
    Drums, bagpipes or any wind instruments are not permitted. 
    All music is to be lightly amplified (limit set in Byron Bay & the hinterland is 94 db) 
    No BYO PA systems are permitted.
    We allow live acoustic music up until dinner and a DJ afterwards.
    Ceremony - location to be confirmed
    Cocktails & canapés - out on the lawn or inside the barn
    All music DJ’s/ Bands etc must be held in the main barn. Barn doors are closed by 9.00pm.

    All music to be turned down at 9.45pm to 70DB

    All music to be turned off at 10:30pm

    All music is to be lightly amplified (limit set in Byron Bay & the hinterland is 94DB - measured 3 metres from speakers as monitored by your Savvy Wed Day Coordinator) .
    Speeches are to be held inside.

    First dance can be held outside.
    Party & dancing is inside the barn.

    VENUES T&C's sent separately and must be signed directly with venue

    Hiring of Additional Items

    All additional essential equipment is hired by Savvy Wed. This ensures quality, consistency and uniformity and covers all standard crockery, cutlery and glassware from ramekins, platters, serving spoons through to bar glasses. This cost covers our standard collection for tableware. If you would like to upgrade to alternative items such as gold cutlery or crystal cut glassware, this is hired for an additional cost direct with the Wedding Shed.

    Please Note: Breakages or damages resulting from guests’ use are charged at replacement costs.


    For safety and practicality reasons, all candles with naked flames must be contained within a vessel. We recommend battery candles or larger vessels to protect from the wind. Taper candles & candelabras are not permitted.


    Basic lighting has been supplied by Savvy Wed. If you would like to add to this package please refer to the Savvy Wed supplier list and contact the supplier direct to discuss options as an add on. 


    Please note, only fresh or dried flower petals as confetti, are to be used. We recommend rose petals or lavender. Please consult your wedding planner if you are unsure. 

    DIY Items and Set Up

    All DIY items and decorations are to be dropped off between 12pm and 2pm the day before your wedding. Savvy Wed staff will happily set up your decorations. Included in the above quote are 3 hours of set up and 2 hours of the packing down of all hired and included furniture and decorations, as well as your DIY items. 

  • Should additional time be required to set up your DIY items, a fee of $40 per hour, per staff member will be applied. 
  • Please provide your Savvy Wed go-to with a detailed list of all DIY decorations for an estimate.
  • Please Note: All DIY items must be labelled with your name and collected at 10am the day after your wedding when you check out. Fig Tree Restaurant are not able to store any items left behind.

    Wet Weather Options at The Orchard Estate
